Opening ceremony of an exhibition titled ‘Beautiful Iran’ was held on the sidelines of the Tokyo 2020.
The chief of Iran's National Olympic Committee Seyyed-Reza Salehi-Amiri, Iranian Sports Minister Masoud Soltanifar, Iranian ambassador to Tokyo Morteza Rahmani-Movahhed, and Japanese Minister for Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology Koichi Hagiuda attended the opening ceremony
The exhibition is a part of Iran’s cultural activities during the Olympic Games.
In addition, the unveiling ceremony of a hand-woven carpet tableau dedicated to the Tokyo 2020 was held at the place of the Iranian Embassy in Japan on Tuesday.
Salehi-Amiri, Rahmani-Movahhed, and a number Iranian and Japanese officials took part in the unveiling ceremony.
The carpet has been woven by eight Iranian weavers from Tabriz. It has a digital version which is an encyclopedia of the Olympic Games.
